- Learned to climb on the bottom shelf of the coffee table.
- Started pulling up on your toy basket.

Loves || Mommy, Daddy, Rucker, and Hollie, but mostly Rucker. Cannon loves playing with his toys, going out of the house on adventures, crawling and exploring, socializing, meeting people, smiling, eating, his feet, chewing on his big toe, putting everything in his mouth, bath time, “talking”, and touching faces.

Hates || Diaper changes, his car seat, not getting his way.

Clothes || Somewhere around 3-9 months, depending on where it is is from and how many times it has been washed. Cannon is still in size 3 diaper.

Weight || At Cannon’s well baby check on the 7th, he weighed 16 pound and 4 ounces. He was also 26 inches long.

Diet || Logan and I had intended for Cannon to be exclusively breastfeed for the first six months. However, much like everything else, Cannon had other plans. Right after he turned 5 months, his interest in food skyrocketed and we couldn't keep him out of our plates. He also still nurses for 5-10 minutes roughly 6-8 times a day. Thus far, Cannon has had sweet potatoes, avocados, and sweet peas.

Health || Cannon has been so healthy. We feel extremely blessed to have made it through the first 6 months (which were also winter for anyone who may be unaware...)

Sleep || Right after Cannon turned 6 months, I decide I was over the nighttime roller coaster we were on, and we started sleep training. After about 4 nights, he was sleeping through the night! Of course, right after I bragged to some friends about it, he started waking up at night again. Luckily, that only lasted a few days.

Mood || Cannon is truly the happiest baby in the world. He smiles so much, and it is the biggest smile that can light up an entire room. Unfortunately, his fits are that intense too....

Milestones || Um… where do I start? Cannon successful started sitting up completely on his own this month, soon after that, he started scooting around the house on his booty. Right after that, he started crawling. It still looks a little crazy, because he drags one leg while using his foot on his other leg to pull his lower body around. I hope that makes some kinda sense. I didn't realize how hard that would be to explain with real words... And, as if that wasn’t enough for one month, he has also started pulling himself up on anything that is sorta kinda steady. He obviously doesn’t have the balance thing down, and isn’t as strong as he thinks he is, but he tries to stand up ALL. THE. TIME. He responds to his name maybe 1/2 the time (I think he suffers from selective hearing already..). He also gives kisses.

Nicknames || Can-Can, “C”, Babiest Boy, Little Man

I am || So thankful he sleeps through the night most of the time. It has seriously been a game changer! I feel like an entirely new person, and it allows me to really enjoy my son. Looking back, I really do not remember the first few months of his life. I hate that. This month has been such a magical time with Cannon and I am so thankful for it!

Logan is || The greatest dad and husband. I rarely give him the credit he deserves, so here it is, publicly announced.

The dogs are || Hollie is still doing really great with Cannon! She will let Cannon tug on her hair, pet her, cuddle her, try to pick her up. As long as she is getting some attention, she really doesn't care. Well Rucker is extremely freaked out! Rucker, on the other hand, is back to being really sketched out by Cannon. He was actually starting to do pretty well with Cannon, and then Cannon became mobile and Rucker's world flip again. If Rucker initiates the interaction, it's all good, but when Cannon starts crawling towards Rucker, he runs away as fast as he can.

What I want to remember || Um, all of it! Seriously I try so hard to remember every single little detail of his face, his feet, his sweet smile, the way he crawls, what toys he is playing with, our day everyday. I wish I could document every moment of every day, and trust, me I try!

One of my favorite things about Cannon right now is when he props his foot up on the tray of his high chair while he is eating. It's the cutest!

Letter to Cannon:

Little man, you can work a room! Even people with their own babies stare at you. Everyone wants to talk to you, and you work them with with a smile or a kiss. I have never gone into a store that someone doesn’t come up to talk to you and tell me how beautiful you are. Even when you are in a green dinosaur outfit, I get asked if you are a girl. You are a wild man! You are also 6 months going on three years. You never stop moving, and exploring the world. You hate sleeping and will flight it until you fall over. Life is never a dull moment, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I cannot wait to watch you grow, but I hope you take it slow. I want to remember as much as I can, and I am so proud of the sweet and smart boy you are! Happy 1/2 birthday babiest boy!!
