Life's Journey through pictures & words

Cannon Knox || Three Month

I'm still laughing at myself for missing the fact that I had never posted Cannon's 3 Month update. But hey, it's finally here!

-We do not have a doctors appointment this month, but I am thinking he is around 13 pounds and about 22 inches long.

-C celebrated his first Christmas and New Year’s this month.
-Cannon experienced his first trip to the beach at 2 months and 9 days.
-At 2 months and 5 days, he had an ECHO done on his heart. It was very challenging to “make” a baby cooperate with the ultrasound technician for roughly an hour. We tried everything from lights to nursing. As one can imagine, nursing worked the very best! His ECHO came back normal. A heart murmur was confirmed but they think it is only because his little heart is still developing and he should grow out of it.
-Started medicine for acid reflux.
-This month has been pretty great. Watching Cannon learn about the world around him has been the most amazing thing I have ever experienced!
-Diet: Boobie milk
-In the clothing department, C wears size 3 from Carter’s but size 6 pants seem to fit best. He is in 0-3 month clothing from everywhere else except Gymboree; there he wears 3-6 months (due to the shorter legs).
-C smiles hugely when he is in a good mood. On good days he smiles a lot! He likes to “talk” and his “vocabulary is growing! He coos, and goos, and makes all kinds of sounds!
-This month he started sucking on his fingers and the back of his hand. He also likes to try to get his hand in his mouth. Basically his hands are his favorite toy right now.
-C holds his head up on his own about 99.5% of the time. He has been able to hold his head up really well pretty much his entire life!
-He has rolled from tummy to back a few times. He used to do this all the time when he was first born. Around a month old he gained enough weight to be “weighed” down and he stopped rolling over all together until now.
-Drools ALL THE TIME! and a lot of it!
- One day C will probably hate me for documenting this but he is often called a girl by strangers who think he is beautiful.
-He saw himself in the mirror for the first time and thought he was the coolest thing ever! We have been showing C his reflection from time to time since.
–Turns his head following sound
-Follows things with his eyes.
-Blows spit bubbles

-Morning time with Mom or Dad but when both can be there it’s the very best!
-When Mommy and/or Daddy smile at him
-Play Gym
-Playing on his belly or back
-Kicking his legs
-Books (Cannon started LOVING books this month)
-Diaper changes
-Playing bicycle

-His car seat, especially when you're not in the car.
-Some of Dad’s impressions
-Despises wet diapers, even before the line turns blue he let's us know he is ready to be changed.
-Taking a bottle. C will not take a bottle for me or Logan but will for Mimi T.
